Hello all.

I have never been to India before, but I am planning to visit Goa for about 4 nights, first week of January.

Can anyone here please offer some advice, tips, suggestions on where to stay, what to see and do.

How easy is it to transfer funds from one UK HSBC account to a Dubai UAE HSBC account. cheers

There are many small Dvd rental shops everywhere in Dubai.

Usually you pay a 50 Dhs deposit and you pay 100 Dhs for about 20 DVD's. Dont expect the latest films or many copies (unless its Al-Mansoor video). But its not bad if you want to watch older films.

I dont know where you will be working Ros, but usually I would stay well clear of Diera...purely because of the traffic and rush... There are a few new buildings in Karama that may be in your budget range (opposite Lifeline medical group, Opp. Burjuman). Without pool, but its in a good location. Goo...

hmmm...ssangyong...a bit dodgy mate. I heard that they use the mercedes Engine, so engine parts may not be a problem...but expect no resale. Not a sensible buy unless you plan to use it for more that 5 years...

yeh, the UK versions are all PAL. I think they would ship out here (if you try Amazon, etc) but the shipping costs wouldnt be worth it. Im sure you can find on in Dubai (look in Meena Bazar or the computer street...)
