Currently, blocked only VoIP sites (skype.com, net2phone.com ..) but it possile to pass using proxy servers (like http://clerk.siteburg.com ).
It is rumoured, that Etisalat planing to block P2P networks - so.. we will have CASTRATE internet.

I'm anti-Etisalat and want you to succeed but be careful trying stuff like this in the UAE you aren't the first to try this. It'll be hard for you to advertise your services except by word of mouth.

skype actually worked for chats and stuff. also internal skype to skype phone calls worked, but now i can not even log in anymore with etisalat.
can anybody re-confirm this?

Etisalat has blocked the service but there still are loopholes to get around it. For example, if you download a Voip-service program, and use a bypass proxy to log in it will bypass it. The internet will be slow but you will be able to make calls.
Make use of it now. Etisalat will be blocking this soon enough.
