I can't believe it;

http://web.archive.org/ is blocked - I discovered this when wanting to read an obituary on a peace activist.

web.archive.org is a complete recorded history of the internet - so rather then block pages or make a code change to the proxy they just block the whole site?

This is like locking up the door to a library as you don't agree with handful of books rather then make the effort to restrict access to the said books.

What a shame that is.

It's been blocked for years. I think because otherwise you can view blocked sites via archive.org. That, and google translate are two of the most irritating blocks they have.

For now.

As soon as Du start offering internet outside the Freezone and Freeholds they will be required to proxy.

There are a lot of simple FREE ways to get around the blocked sites.
Even we could open and surf the blocked sites. then What and For what?

Assume you are surfing a blocked personal web site, then how could others know about you if they cannot surf that web site too.
