Egyptians have demonstrated for two weeks (?) now over the appointment of a governor in an Egyptian province because of his being a Christian.
Naturally, non-Muslims under an Islamic state, which Egypt is, are consigned to second class citizenship status. Non-Muslims should never rule over a Muslim.

The Muslim Brotherhood, for their part, have said they oppose either a woman or a non-Muslim from leading the nation.
