It also depends on your landlord. My tenant wanted to leave and I let her leave on less than a month's notice. Gave back her cheques. Depends on how greedy your landlord is too.

I know many people who got married thru office romance. Heck, if I ever joined the corporate life, that'd be one of the reasons.

The Mazda 3 1.6 isn't really faster than any of your other options. It just makes a lot of noise giving the feeling of speed, but since you already bought the car, no point going on about this. It is obvious you bought the car to save money in the long run. Do the stereo if doesn't play MP3s. But do...

Spending 800 dollars to avoid 300 dirhams? Man you'll be fine and you seem overtly paranoid about this. Perhaps there's more to this than simply owing a shopkeeper money? If not, don't sweat it. If they do for some reason detain you when you arrive, simply paying the arrears will see you fine. I ag...

Alright but going back to my orginal post, is it legal to do that? Legal being, it WILL pass annual inspection, I really don't wanna get an exhaust/intake if I have to take it off all the time to pass tests Everything I said is totally legal. I have a heavily-modded Supra Turbo, and it takes major ...

There's a place among the garages opposite Sharjah Stadium. There are a few more in Ras Al Khor among those garages oppsoite the Country Club, but giving directions is complicated. There's also a place in Karama opposite Sunrise Supermarket, but that is more expensive for same quality work.

Ban on employees working on visit visa - I agree. I think it's common anywhere in the world. Automatic ban on employees wishing to change job within the country (regardless of zone or years of work) - I somewhat disagree. IMO what is more fair (both for company & employee) is to apply minimum y...

I had no issues with MeBank. I play with it mostly thru their internet banking interface, and keep making and breaking FD accounts as I please. Rates are between 4.1% to 4.5%. I even pay my bills and Salik taxes thru it.

I still believe if it were for less than a year, it'd probably better to rent than buy. The other way around if it were for more than a year. There are many good car rentals with less rent rate than Avis/Hertz/etc. When buying, maintenance cost may not be a problem since you'll have warranty. But c...

IMO living in Sharjah (especially near the border of Dubai) nowadays is not that cheaper than living in Dubai (e.g. Al Ghusais and surroundings). Yet you'd stuck with more traffic (means more petrol=expense). If I were you, if it were for only 5-10K/year rent difference, I'd stay in Dubai. One plac...

There are 2 stupid things about Dubai/UAE postal service: 1. Except for couriers like Aramex/DHL/etc, they don't deliver to doorstep. You must have PO Box (personal or company's). 2.
