Where on earth are you getting the upper end pries from and where are these ridiculously priced apartments? You can get a 5 bed villa with private pool these days in certain areas for 150,000 Dhs There are some, even more expensive than this. :) Luxury has no limit, try asking burj al arab prices :)

As long as it is same gender apartment for bachelors, it is ok. For mixed there are consequences and laws too

Either have an arabic friend or work with one, unless you don't have a speaking partner to practice your arabic you can't learn it.
