I guess the thread got a little jucier while i was not on the forums, because at the point I left nothing seemed wrong with it.

I think that Fayz's thread should have been left here on general - even with the bad language and flaming - it deserved an exception to the rules. I think someone either works in or should get a job in the "moving" business. And why the hell does every post that gets moved has to have an ...

Because you know it Bushra. If Bush or Blair were assassinated there would be threads on it and they would be allowed to stay on the forum with all the people gloating and celebrating. Jamal's rules for respecting the dead only apply to the tyrants he prefers. Funny enough K, many of these western ...

now this is funny - thread deletions! oh gawd! If Bush and Blair's Christmas day lynching (complete with taunts and jeers) were to take place consequitively in Washington and London at the hands of the invading Pan-Arab military with the help of some White pro-Pan-Arab puppets (oh man, is that an i...

The first article posted was an inflammatory piece of crap that indeed could have been assigned a C if it were a high school essay. For this reason, many of the atheists here don't even want to touch it. As well, there has already been a thread on atheism recently. Freza, you have not even been abl...

It's the way Saddam died and who actually decided his death (and that sham trial) that makes it all wrong. Is this so difficult for some of you to understand? Apparently... But this is the point we're making. The Iraqis decided his fate. He led a party that represented 20% of the population and rul...

Maybe the US should have backed out when Saddam Invaded Kuwait and let him march on. Yeah I know the replies so save them (US was protecting its oil, blah, blah, blah,). As I understand it the UAE was crapping in its collective shorts and drafted all able males immediately after the invasion in 1990...

$20K more per month or per year? If per year I would say NO. So since you will not be taxed does not mean you will be earning (gross salary) less than in Australia - or you haven't considered that it will be tax free. By the way were would you be "routing" your family to? Too much time wit...

Even if the US was helpful in the case of Kuwait, it doesn't erase their previous or subsequent meddling. I know it is the real world that countries use and manipulate, make friends, break friends with other countries - but some meddling has far reaching repercussions - sometimes for the good, some...

Now we don't have to get that extreme... We know for a fact that isolationism just wouldn't work. Give me an example of a country with the wealth of the USA (or even close) that tried isolationism. Lots of resources (humand and otherwise) are being spent helping others whose only gratitute is to cr...

Great Story - Oprhah and School for Girls.

Yesterday Oprah opened a school complex in South Africa which she funded ($40M). The school is for young girls who would not otherwise have the opportunity. Amazing modern complex (28+ acres).

Great story.

The $20K is annually after tax. All calcutations are net. I have taken into account the Tax free benefits in Dubai for wages. Relocating to Dubai - Jumeirah area. Also another issue which we've just run into. The lease ran out on the 31st December, so of course all the contracts were resigned and everything before that date, with the 15% increase. I doubt very much that any landlord will go back and redo the contract according to the new rates. Surely though...

Muscat

How do I get to Muscat from Dubai? What roads, etc.

There is some festival going on there now so planning on heading there tomorrow a.m. Haven't got a clue how to get there. Will be driving just for the punishment of it (5 hours I hear).

Suggestions on where to stay?
