A 5 min piece from the Daily Show - a Florida man who wants to get into the Republican Party was denied, on the basis that he is a Muslim. Now, the amazing thing is that the guy is genuinely a Republican in his political views, is a 'registered Republican' - so not joking around - and yet was not allowed to join.

He's also the executive director for CAIR, which is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terrorism case.

Can't blame Republicans for opposing terrorists and extremists from joining their party.

Pure hatred? No. Pure hatred is hundreds of Muslims calling for the killing of Jews in Tunisia.

This is Republicans weeding out the fanatics. Bravo to them.

Thanks for the video - it is most informative. To me it shows how shallow the Islamophobic argument is and how it can't address a simple question without relying on misinformation and innuendo, rather than addressing the question directly. We've seen this first hand on many threads here!

But it seems that eh is another one of those who doesn't know the meaning of 'against' and whose whole argument is 'guilt by association'. It appears that eh and Joe Kaufman have the same silly arguments and justifications for their irrational opposition of a Republican who happens to be Muslim.

But it is funny when Republicans turn on their own and invoke Islamophobia and canards such as CAIR is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood etc.

Joe Kaufman was well and truly exposed in the first interview though.. and I suspect even eh would have laughed (but mostly cringed at having the Islamophobia so clearly exposed).

Good grief. I'd hardly expect the Daily Show to do a feature on a wanna be Republican politician if he were a member of the John Birch Society and rejected for his views and links to the group.

In fact, if the Republicans did allow a Bircher in the Daily Show would instead be whining that the Republican is party letting in far right fringe members.
