Religious clashes in Egypt Aug 02, 2012
Look away! There's Islamophobia in Europe! Come on people, Robert Spencer has his own website!

At least 16 people have been wounded after Muslims attacked a church and Christian homes in a village near the Egyptian capital, Cairo, officials say.

The whole thing kicked off after a Muslim accused a Christian laundry worker of singing a shirt! (I initially read that as 'singing' as in song, rather than singing as in burned)

Then a Muslim is killed, then the attacks against the Christians.

(Interesting that eh didn't choose to mention the Muslim being killed.. or the banal and bizare start to the whole sad story)

Coptic-Muslim clashes erupt in Egypt

The unrest in Dahshur, about 40km (25 miles) south of Cairo, started after a Muslim man died of wounds sustained in an earlier clash on Friday.

Violence frequently flares between Egypt's Muslim majority and its Coptic Christian minority.

It is the first instance since Mohammed Mursi took over as president in June.

...

Tension first erupted on Friday after a Christian laundry worker was accused by a Muslim client of singing his shirt while ironing it.

Villagers from both sides threw fire-bombs at each other, fatally wounding a Muslim.

The man died of his injuries on Tuesday and was buried overnight, sparking the latest unrest.

Nice distortion, feeble minded one.

The article says the attacks came first then a Muslim (attacker) died and more attacks followed:

Villagers from both sides threw fire-bombs at each other, fatally wounding a Muslim.

The unrest in Dahshur, about 40km (25 miles) south of Cairo, started after a Muslim man died of wounds sustained in an earlier clash on Friday.

Presumably Muslims began attacking Christians first, Christians defended themselves and one Muslim attacker was killed. This prompted further attacks by Muslims who attacked a church and Christian homes and forced Christians to flee in terror:

The office of the local Coptic archbishop of Giza said the entire Christian population of Dahshur have now fled, according to the Associated Press.

They rioters "looted and torched shops, including a jewellery shop... and terrorised the local community, forcing them to leave their homes", the agency quoted the statement as saying.

Nope, the article clearly states (and you even quoted it):

The unrest in Dahshur, about 40km (25 miles) south of Cairo, started after a Muslim man died of wounds sustained in an earlier clash on Friday.

Sigh.

So throwing fire-bombs at each other is not an attack?

Or did the Muslim die by fire-bombs before fire bombs were thrown by both sides in some ontological scenario?

I'm not sure why your still confused. A Muslim died in earlier clashes, then the attacks on the church and Christians that injured 16. The attacks in the quote in the OP only took place after the Muslim died on Tuesday - that's what the article clearly states.

Sheesh - you even quoted the relevant sentence.

Why does your hatred of Muslims lead you to these massive failures of comprehension?

Anyway - you're intent on trolling, it seems. So I'll leave you with your interpretation of what actually happened. The rest of us can also read and understand what the BBC reports.

A Muslim died in earlier clashes

The article said both sides threw fire bombs at each other. Therefore, clashes were occuring before the Muslim died.

Amazing this flies over your head.

Why does your hatred of Muslims lead you to these massive failures of comprehension?

This is coming from someone who doesn't understand that clashes which killed someone means clashes started before someone was killed.

Just in case you didn't see this in my previous post above.

I leave you now with your failed attempt at spin.

This is what you originally claimed.

I know honesty is not a high priority with you, but the attacks did not start against Christians after a Muslim died.

The Muslim died in attacks against Christians, then more attacks against Christians started: this caused the entire Christian population in the village to flee, and resulted in the robbery of Christian owned stores, attacks on Christian homes and the attack and attempted arson against a church.

Muslim dies on Tuesday, you don't mention it. You only choose to mention the attacks that took place against Christians which took place AFTER the death of the Muslilm. Your spin failed.

Had you mentioned clashes on Friday which resulted in the Muslim dying on Tuesday, you'd have some credibility. You didn't and you don't. Live with it - you can't spin your way out of this one.

Your hatred of Muslims is so blatant that simple comprehension is failing you. Sad really. (And yes, this is my final post on this topic now ;) )

Yeah, just like your inability to read that the Muslim died in clashes between Christians and Muslims and then claiming the clashes started after a Muslim died.

Either way, I fail to see the relevance of a Christian community besieged after Muslims attacked a Christian at his home after he supposedly burnt a shirt with one Muslim dying from the initial incident started by the Muslims.

I'll remember this the next time a police officer is attacked in Europe by "youths" and white Europeans rampage through Muslim neighborhoods.

Wait ... an EDL rally did take place in Rochdale after 9 Muslim men were convicted of rape and trafficking. LoL. You're so blinkered you failed to carry water for the EDL at that time. You're so driven by fanaticism you don't know the meaning of consistency.

It's interesting three (!) members in the following thread chose not to mention two Buddhist women raped and murdered in a story in the following thread (or that it was not important enough for you to mention that then like you think it important to mention the death of a Muslim here):
