Happy Thanksgiving!

It seems like, once again, credit is snatched from our intrepid Holy Warriors - the Iranian government regularly blames the 9/11 raids on Mossad, much to the dismay of al-Qaeda's leadership.

Even after this spectacular martyrdom operation, the Houthis are pinning the blame on the 'Zionists'. Sigh!

The attack itself is said to have involved a suicide bomber targeting a Shia religious procession, killing a provincial tribal chief from Northern Yemen and 16 others.

On another note, it seems like sectarian martyrdom operations, which, I believe, first took place in Pakistan in the early 90's and truly pioneered in Iraq, appear to be spreading throughout the world.

Actually, martyrdom operations are found the Koran, hadith (sayings and actions of Muhammad and his companions) and Sira (biographies of the prophet Muhammad) literature.

The Koran, for instance, guarantees martyrdom to those who kill and die for the sake of Allah:

Koran 4:74 - So let them fight in the way of God who sell the present life for the world to come; and whosoever fights in the way of God and is slain, or conquers, We shall bring him a mighty wage.

Koran 9:111 - God has bought from the believers their selves and their possessions against the gift of Paradise; they fight in the way of God; they kill, and are killed; that is a promise binding upon God ... So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Him; that is the mighty triumph.
