i've been here 4 years and still cant believe that at 8 pm at night one does still now know if next day is work day or not

It's just been announced that Tomorrow, Thursday is the Last Day of Ramadan and Friday is the first day of Eid!

Thats the whole fun of it, the anticipation

Always fun to see the city turn in a hive full of activity when Eid is annouced a day earlier

So holiday friday and sat...er hold on, they are days off already!

Anyone feel like they just got hustled out of a holiday?

The curse of the weekend holiday countinues from last year, where everything fell on a weekend, Eid, chirstmas, new years, you name it

Stop moaning! Some of of don't even get the day off even if the holiday falls on a weekday.

Eid Mubarak to you all (in anticipation of Eid being tomorrow).

Here were still waiting for the moon to be sighted tonight - but pretty much everyone expects it to be tomorrow. And given it is a national holiday, the non-muslims are praying harder than the Muslims that the moon will be sighted tonight! (Friday is a normal working day on Mauritius, and if Eid is declared - everyone will be off tomorrow!)
