Overall my opinion of going out in Dubai is a little above average, a little disappointing I must say. The clubs are just not it, especially Barasti which is supposed to be the place to be, that's just full with wannabes or hasbeens drinking away their sorrows. I don't like crowded places anyways and can't dance.
I particularly like going out to jazz bars and stand up comedians. I found some promising jazz estalishments. Concerning stand up comedians, I'm aware of the laughter factory, but it doesn't have a fixed location. What I'm looking for is a fixed comedian club, which also allows amateurs performing, nothing better than making a fool of yourself in front of your friends.
Reading DF, Dubai must be loaded with funny people.
