Respect the National Flag

The National Flag (flag) is a symbol of the Nation's respect and pride. There is a liberal use of the flag on Independence Day and Republic day. There is a new trend of selling flags made up of paper and plastic, which is incorrect. With a sense of national pride, people enthusiastically buy such flags but the very next day, we find these flags being trampled upon the road, in dustbins and elsewhere. In this context, people forget that they are insulting the flag. Often, these flags are burnt along with garbage. It is the duty of every individual to maintain proper respect of the National Flag. From this point of view the following dos & donts will prove useful.

why is a flag a symbol of nationalism?
It's just a bunch of colours, that apparantly mean something. Why do you have this need to associate nationalism with some song, some flag...why?

In the days of yore, when wars were everday affair, flags and anthems helped build up morale. Today is a different age. Lets embrace culture, rather than seek to divide.

A flag represents everything. it represents your country, your people, your identity and to show ppl that you as a nation are here.

Why do you think Americans have planted the USA flag on moon? so that they can use the webcam in the flag and spy on us from the moon :p

Why do you think the Russians were able to plant their flag on the Reichstag when they kicked Nazis ass out of Germany?

The national flag is used as a unique symbol/emblem for a country. It basically serves as a symbol of pride. Why do you think when one country is in turmoil with another country, flags are burned? It is a slap at the country itself. Most countries recognize what is called "flag protocol".

The flag is kind of the logo or the brand identity of a country. So it means a lot.

I like the American patriotism in the form of a flag bikini :)

@ RB
HOW ON EARTH DOES A FLAG REPRESENT YOUR IDENTITY?
(Oh ur identity is ur Brit passport right? )
You clochard :D don't give me examples of KSA or some wartime scenario.
America planted the flag on the moon for identification. Not representative of anything else......

My point is for national days and all that why is it necessary to wave a flag around? It's only symbolical because we think it is. You can hold toilet paper, tell humans it's symbolical and it will be!

American planted the flag for identification and it represents their achievements in space travel. The flag tells other ppl that you are here to stay.

For national day ppl become patriotic and wave flags around. In my opinion I think its waste of time and ppl just looking for an excuse to party :D

This moon is located somewhere in CA. Columbia Pictures studio, probably.
That's why the flag is flickered in the wind/fan although the Moon doesn't have own atmosphere.

Good grief Chief! The moon landing flag has wires in it to keep it out like that!
