What do visitors to Dubai do for mobile phone services for a short stay?
Is it possible to carry SIM cards from the home country like Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL, etc. to Dubai and use it there?
Or is there some other prepaid mobile service in Dubai that visitors can take for short stay?

I use my O2 sim when I'm in Dubai. It works fine but is expensive as you can imagine. I also have a local sim from Etisalat. I use this for local calls.
My O2 sim is on a contract but Etisalat is prepaid.
If you're here for a short period I would stick with your own sim.
