Don't worry you won't be alone for long hahahaha.

Seriously though in that area I don't think you'll have any safety issues but you'll probably get a lot more leers then you're comfortable with.

Good luck and enjoy your time in Dubai.

Hi Jessica, check again the place where your staying for me pls? I dont know a Rolla square in Dubai, in Sharjah there is though. But I could be mistaken of course...all my answers to your question would depend if you will be staying in Dubai or Sharjah

Hmm personally I wouldnt do it. You'll be safe but very uncomfortable.
If budget allows move hotel to Sheikh Zayed Road.

What are you here for?

I was looking for the hotel on the internet, there is one listed as the Rolla Square Hotel, Dubai. Only 9km from downtown Dubai. But look at the small print, you see the hotel's in Sharjah.

So if this is the hotel.....CHANGE QUICKLY!!!!!

The 9km trip from Sharjah - Dubai is a lifetime.

You will be safe dont worry about it, but as everyone said if your budget allows i would move to another area. Ibis next to the world trade center is a good cheap option and its in a good area.

it is safe here in dubai... like other said you might feel uncomfortable coz you will experience a lot of staring, especailly when you are walking by yourself. Other than the staring, I think it is safe here.

Jessica Dear,

There are plenty of budget hotels in Dubai. Try getting a room in Shk. Zayed Road, but if this area is out of your budget, try Deira or Satwa.

Try Novotel Hotel that is attached to the Dubai Trade Center. Metropolitan chain of hotels are good but not that affordable.

Good luck and have fun.

It'll be safe but probably won't feel like it, same goes for parts of Deira and Satwa and perhaps Bur Dubai. As mentioned it's in Sharjah, not Dubai which can be a proper pain to get to at certain times of the day and is generally a bit rougher round the edges than Dubai. A 23 year old female aussie will stand out.

How long are you here for and why, maybe we can suggest better alternatives.
