Forget the World Cup - I want to watch Rugby!!! Jun 08, 2006
Anyone know where in Dubai on Sunday I can go to catch the Rugby game of Australia Vs. England which should kickoff around lunch time?

Yes I am desperate!! No, I'm not a fan of soccer (fooootball).

People die in wars all over the world and in famines and whatnot and you consider your difficulty in watching rugby to be a dilemma?

Chill out buddy I am just pulling your leg :)

My difficulty in watching Rugby is indeed a dilemma.

I think you need to be more open and understanding of other cultures and the way people live. For some, Rugby is a religion.

Nothing, can you have a rest and stop clogging the post so somebody *can* actually respond to my query?

Iam, unfortunately most of the places that would normally show the rugby will have been taken over by footy (the round one) fans. But I heard a whisper that Aussie legends might have one screen with the footy and one with the rugby on.

A simple solution to a simple problem.
This has reminded me about something I wanted to talk to you about Arnie, but I'll PM you later when I've got a bit more time.

FYI I arrived a month ago with 2 suitcases, and a TV is down the list of priorities. Even when it does get to the top of the list, I don't view a TV as something that would get a lot of use, it didn't in Australia.

I only watch two TV Shows - Dr. Who & Battlestar Galactica.

I also enjoy watching Cricket and Rugby.

I am pleased you know what year you're in, Doc Emmet would be proud.

I flew Singapore and I was already stretching the friendship with 30 kilos of luggage. A tv would have been insane, although I almost brought my XBox.

I have been looking at TVs but struggling to find a good price for a 32" Plasma of repute. Best I can see is 4700 for a Samsung or 5500 for a Sony Bravo.

And then... I have to get satellite - all by Sunday.

Hence I need to find a pub showing it.

Well you know, I could always sit there with the remote in one hand, the Sheisha pipe in the other and be zombie to the TV.

Both BSG and DW are hangovers from when I was a kid, I loved those shows, but then you'd never understand 5:30 weekdays on the ABC, its a whole other world away.

I failed introversion as a social science, I just enjoy being out and about too much.

What's your favourite TV show Liban?
