Suggestion:

Why don't you post a few details in this forum.

Where you live (not exact address)
What School
What times you need the car lift
etc.

And somone might be able to help.

Don't post any "personal" information here.

Good luck.

I know its not ideal but in the short term consider a taxi until you have something more perm sorted.

there are private drivers about but they are unregulated which has consequences re insurance etc, so please be aware. I dont know how their costs compare with taxis

The same rules apply in DXB the same as UK if you carry people in car "for gain". Its not the same as car sharing, unless of course you can find someone who travels to the same school and can therefore car share legitimately.

2 more suggestions:

1. Post something in the lobby of your building and other buildings.

2. There must be other students at the school who live in the Marina (ask the teachers).

Is there no school bus? And if there is and they don't come to the Marina get a group of parents at the school (who live in the Marina) to ask for a route thru the Marina (now that more and more people live there).

Good luck.

Apparently car lift / pool is illegal in this country.
But how is this being regulated? Beats me!

Try making flyers and post to every supermarket bulletin boards yo go to....or asking the school bus drivers of school where your son is going...These drivers do have lots of contacts on their fellow drivers who do decent jobs of pick-and drop. Mostly south asians do this kind of free lancing and they do a pretty good job really...

 Trying not to reply to HP stereotyping again.....

Private taxi is illegal. Car pool is not. Regulation is done by RTA or police who appear to randomly fine cars with more than one person in them - several articles in the press recently with people saying "foul"!
