Has anybody been able to do this in Dubai, using their UAE credit card?
I am trying to buy music from the iTunes store, but have to have a credit card from UK, US or Europe.
Tried to buy iTunes codes off eBay, but you have to pay using PayPal and to register for PayPal you have to have a credit card from UK, US or Europe!
There must be a way.....

Dubai is still priitive in online shopping. But I beleive if u have visa u can purchase anywhere in the world which has visa sign and applies to internet shopping too.

It's not always the case that the VISA sign means you can use a visa card issued in any country.

The credit and debit cards in the UK, Europe and US now have extra security chips and pin codes that need to be used with a transaction, unfortunately we don't have that in the UAE yet.

Sometimes it will work, but often than not you have to have an address in one of the above territories.

Yes you can download music, but it's not a very good idea as peole are now getting busted for it.

For all your music and other buying needs from the USA,UK etc... the solution for us expats in Dubai is simple.

It's called Shop'n'Ship by Aramex. What they have is two things:

1. You pay $35 one time for LIFE no renewal fees, and get two addresses in your name, one in the US and one in the UK.

Anything shipped to these two addresses will automatically be couriered to you to dubai for the prices of:

$8 for first 0.5 kg
$5.50 for every other 0.5 kg

2. Aramex also partnered up with MasterCard for a Web surfer card which is a prepaid CreditCard that you keep putting money into. You can use this on any site that accepts MasterCard even if it says only US,UK etc... and it will be more secure since you decide the amount inside the card.

The price for this is an annual membership of $19
