Review Gorillaz - Demon Days (2005) Jun 15, 2006

Gorillaz is one of the first hit virtual bands that made an entry in Guiness World records after the release of their first album in 2001. They play a variety of music styles – to quote one of their lyrics, they have recorded everything from "Rap, Hip-Hop, to Punk, and Ska." Demon Days is beautiful amazing album with hits like Dare, Dirty Harry, Demon days, Kids with guns and many more. This album is worth buying for a Punk and hiphop fan.

kinda agree with you...but this one has some gems too...in my opinion if an album grants you 4 good songs not counting the b sides...you've got your money's worth...but the gorillaz are perhaps the few acts that have an original sound going...not like the numerous "the " wanna bes and copiers of "the clash" or T-Rex...its great to have the punk/rock revivial back in swing...at the same time everyone is beginning to sound the same...

i couldn't agree with you more.... you might like the 'dining rooms'
i don't like to hold on the the past but i think it's pretty obvious that the days when the people who made music made stuff that kind of represented what they actually were are 'ova'!

now it seems like it's all about giving people an image that fits the music they're supposed to be making.... drives me nutts sometimes.

i am completely dependant on my amg newsletter to find new stuff.

4 good songs is pretty good. the last album i 'acquired' that was almost all good was zero7, simple things and the hotel costes series is also very easy on the ears.

Jeff buckley is awesome! I think track 2 on my cd of sketches for my sweet heart the drunk is practically worn away because i played it so much. I still can't believe they never found a body!

There's one track , a live version of 'calling you' which is also really hot.
