I had a crocodile pizza once .... its a white meat and tastes pretty much like chicken.

One dish from Laos that I was offered but could not bring myself to eat was some sort of solidified blood ..... they all loved it but the cultural divide was just too far on that one ... grossed me out.

by the way enlighten us on what the Arab kiss is?

The most unusual things I've eaten are frog, snails, ducks feet, eel and witcherty grub soup. I could say kangaroo but it is not a big deal-high in protein and puts some bounce back into you. My hubby has had a smorgasboard of snake including the beating heart of a King Cobra which he felt pulsating as it slid down his gullet. Hmmmm......breakfast anyone???

snake soup is yummy and great for curing colds...also in some places snake blood is "believed" to have good properties...anyhow...never drank snake blood...just yucky to drink any blood...(i am sure dacus would disagree)...wild boar/orstrich/ortrich egg(yumm!!)/pigeon/fowl/kangaroo/frogs/weirdest snails in stranger soup concoction/deer/duck...thats about it...the weirdest tasting among the whole lot was wild boar in nepal...tasted like beef jerky flavored tough chewing gum...

There is nothing wrong with eating female animals in Islam.

i thought i mentioned that the reason is the same as many other cultures, not specific to islam

it's only logical to eat the males as they don't provide as much value as the females for the industry. you only need one ram for every few females to reproduce.

ps. every question why we don't sacrifice female animals at eid

no problems.... as to how i know, it's freaky but that's one of the checks people do when they buy an animal for sacrifice.

i remember going as a kid to the huge animal markets in bahrain, pakistan and nigeria to select our animals and the guys selling them would always show us a few things so that we can see it's a healthy animal: the teeth, the eyes, ears usually followed by lifting up the poor thing's tail and grabbing it's testicles..
