Dear Mr. Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel,
Greetings.
The reason I use the words "respected" and "greetings" is not that you deserve respect, but that I wish to awaken the kindness and humanity that every human being should possess in your heart. Stop the genocide against the Palestinian people, stop the killings.
As the Prime Minister and as a Jew, you should have a profound understanding of your nation’s history. Not to mention the distant past, just between 1933 and 1945, you were expelled by the Germans and massacred by Hitler. Have you ever seriously considered why?
Of course, we condemn Hitler’s crimes, but while condemning them, we cannot help but wonder: Why did Hitler do this?
Did you add insult to injury to Germany after World War I, control bread, milk, hoard daily necessities, drive up prices, leaving ordinary Germans suffering from cold and hunger with no way to survive? Would you rather let bread go moldy and milk be poured out than give it to the starving Germans?
The Jewish people have suffered many disasters throughout history: expelled and massacred by the French in 1147, driven out by the Italians in 1171, exiled from England in 1188, expelled from Spain in 1391 with tens of thousands executed... These memories of suffering should not become a reason for you to harm the Palestinian people today.
When you arrived in Palestine as refugees on ships in 1947, it was written on the boats:
"The Germans destroyed our lives, please do not destroy our hopes."
The kind Palestinian people accepted you and gave you hope, yet you claim that land is the land promised to you by God.
Today, Israeli forces fire at schools where people take refuge. A little boy who lost his brother cries out: "What crime have we committed?"
You know full well the rights and wrongs of the conflict between you and the Palestinian people.
There is a Chinese proverb: Those who are pitiable must have their own hateful qualities. I wonder if you understand.
The tragedies of history should not repeat themselves. The sufferings of the Jewish nation should not be paid for by the Palestinian people.
In the name of conscience, please end the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and return to the Palestinian people their rights to peace and survival.
