I find it hard to save money in Dubai. Is it just me? How about you?

True, but actually those who make less and save more, barely spend. They live a very frugal lifestyle, depriving themselves of a lot of the pleasures of life!

Then you have those in the middle, who find it diffuclt to save, despite their decent income, because they don’t deprive themselves of eating out, going to the movies, buying nice clothes,…etc

However, those with a high income can usually do both: enjoy life (reasonably) and still save!!

That’s what I meant by saying it depends how much you make.

Of course, you’ll always see exceptions: someone who makes a lot but still can’t save, because of being too extravagant (with their spending!!)

BB,
Why not get yourself one or two ".co.uk " domains and set up mini-websites.

Put Google Ads around the edges. If someone clicks them, you earn a bit of money to help the budget.
Even £3 per day is over £1000 per year . That will pay for a decent holiday !!
Other ideas , for extra earnings ,are on you-earn-money.co.uk

It was always the intended plan by HRH, to make expats put back all their earnings into the Dubai economy, without them realising it.

Consider yourself a statistic of a very cunning plan.

Man O Man I could go on for ages about this.

To keep it short I do agree with you. On the flip side had the economists from this part of the world not done something to curb the flow of remittances, then the economy here could've been adversly impacted.

It's almost like a cold war playing out. Asian governments like Filipines, India(although they're too haughty to admit it) etc know they need to keep the wealth flowing and quite frankly I would say they are still one step ahead of the planners here.

BTW what is HRH
