Hi All

I understand Jumeirah is spread across a few locations, and I need to get a more detailed location - however - in your opinion, how far is Jumeirah from Burj Dubai in a car and what is the traffic like.

I am looking at accommodation in Jumeirah and working in Burj Dubai, is it doable?

burj dubai is the tallest tower and it is on the parallel side of jumeirah...

less or around 5 mins by a car and

less or around 15 mins by your foot..,

to and fro is very much doable....

Look at a map of Dubai to see where Jumeirah 1, 2, 3 are relative to Burj Dubai. Travel time could be 5-10 mins if no traffic but allow at least 20-30 min during rush hour jams. Al Safa and Al Wasl roads can be very slow in the evenings. Defense roundabout is under construction and gets badly snarled up. Once it's finished it should be good (maybe sometime in 2009?). You can avoid it by living in Jumeirah 2-3 and using Safa Park interchange which is usually ok.

I still get confused about Jumeriah.

Jumeriah Beach is nowhere near Jumeriah, Jumeriah Beach Residences or Jumeriah Lakes Towers.

You forgot Jumeirah Village, Jumeirah Gardens and Jumeirah Park

The only other option to call them was shithole rabbit warrens in the dessert... which probably wouldn't sell that well... so they decided to stretch the truth a bit and expand Jumeirah all the way to the Abu Dhabi border and inland to emirates road (Jumeriah Golf Estate).
