Guide to finding Accommodation in Dubai Accomodation Pricing Feb 02, 2005
Ok, I will try and give you a rough guide, it may be a little bit expensive but I do not believe in living in squalour.

Bur Dubai:
Studio Apartment: circa dhs.40-45,000 per year (will include pool, gym, security and undercover parking
1 Bedroom Apartment: circa dhs.50-55,000 per year (ditto)
2 bedroom Apartment: circa dhs.60-65,000 per year (ditto)

None of these will be furnished although there might be one or two kitchen appliances included.

Bur Deira: (Bur Dubai?)
As above but maybe 10-15% cheaper.

Serviced Apartments (Studios) are not a bad way to start off if you have nowhere to stay, but could set you back dhs.5-6,500 per month.

If I was you, i would try and find someone to share with. if you can do that, then the best thing to do would be to rent a Villa. 3 bed villas can be rented for around 60-65,000 per year.

Prices in Dubai for rented accommodation is going up monthly.

Going to live in Sharja is cheaper, but one hell of a traffic jam to get into Dubai.

To furnish your apartment you will need circa dhs25-30,000 (thats everything, except those womanly touches)

Hope this has helped, and if you find something cheaper, please let me know!

Disclosure: I do not work in the Renting business nor do i work for a letting Agent. I have been looking for 3 months!

60,000-65,000???

Where?! Please guide me to a decent 60k/annum 2BR apartment/villa...I'm moving to Dubai in about 3 weeks, so I've been checking the classifieds online for the past 3 months, and the prices are RIDICULOUS

Do you know of anything similar to The Gardens for about 60k/year?

Many thanks..

If you look at the date of the originaly post it was almost 17 months ago, at that time it was a realistic reflection, just shows you how much things have changed.

i have just found a studio flat in a good block in bur dubai.

80,000aed/year all in,

water, electricity, parking, security, gym, pool, gamesroom, 24hour free internet.

i know its a bit steep for bur dubai maybe, but at an all in price, my allowance covers the full amount, so i have no bills topay out my wages. would you recommend?

i dont need an extra room, so studio is fine, and pleanty of brits, its not a dirty block with locals like you can see everywhere round here.....

Could this be updated by someone who has knowledge about prices?

I'm specifically interested in the Marina area and the Jumeriah Beach Residence area.

i'm also looking around the same area, i'm moving to dubai in july but lived there last summer.

i don't know if this is of any help but you should try looking at bhomes.com and vakson.com - both have developments in dubai marina.

i'm looking to rent a 1 bedroom apartment in dubai marina and i think it's going to cost around 90,000 - 100,000 for one middle-of-the-range.

hope this helps - if anyone knows of any any other reputable agents i'd be grateful for your help

Marina 1 bdrm 90k-110k (more for the top buildings)
Marina studio 70k-75k?
JBR maybe 5-10% cheaper.

Buy a Gulf News or check Dubai classifieds online.
