There is nothing wrong with what you did. There are even little shops with a local sitting in it, who simply oversee this piece of paper officially certifying that a car transfer deal is done. Only some are authorized to do it. This is done so that the buyer and seller don't have to bother going to ...

It's actually a well-known fact [amongst the dieticians and occupational health peeps] that in general people partaking of the ramadan fasting tend to put ON weight. It's all about metabolism [I think Choco explained it better than me]. Again. I love the idea that a religious festival can be used a...

It is not exactly racism as much as the stereotype that being "Indian-looking" or "Filipino-looking" automatically means you are poorer than them (unless you drive up in the Rolls), so they think they can walk all over you.

Didn't know there is a business like this here. Most here get their body parts from scrap, or dealer, or just beat the existing one straight.

Just curious: How much do you guys make, in what region? Do you have families and kids with you? Thanks. It ...

Thanks, GT. After reading the responses here, it seems to me that people go to Dubai if/when they are not happy in their current country/city, no competitive jobs there, very little money (not that it seems you can save a lot in Dubai these days), or you're desperate to get out of a place. Please c...

The way I live currently is this: I live in a 3-bed apartment about 1650sf ft (they are much cheaper here), drive a second-hand wagon, watch my expenses but still manage to go out drinking once in fifteen days, shop for stuff during sales, eat at not-so-expensive restaurants and go on a holiday wit...

Stay put in HK. There's no way you can live comfortably with two school-age kids on that salary, unless your spouse also works full-time and earns the same (and even then you won't be saving much). If you put my name into the search function you'll find another post I made to someone in a similar s...

If there is a police report against you, the airport officers will probably stop you right there and then. Happened to a guy with a stolen mobile phone, according to the papers.

It won't climb dunes, dude. Also, if you get stuck, there is no low-range gearing to help you get out. I've seen the ads too, of it climbing dunes in Hatta. But it is misleading to hint that it can play on dunes competently.

I saw that crap too, even on new cars. I always thought it is a fake dirt look to make you look tougher. As if you like offroading with your Caprice or something. The crap looks like paint primer, and even put on headlights, sometimes even specs on the doors to give a "realistic" look. Ret...
