I understand, I'm peaceful too. But I meant the use of military power determines the outcome. And thats is my underlying point. War with the Middle East would lead to a strategical Iraq like 'shock of awe' strategy.

Offcourse the aftermath will be difficult (individual terrorist responses to Europe and US etc), but the strategic allies of the Middle East don't have the military power of the West. That is not a level playing field situation.

I don't think the Middle East will win that kind of battle. Iran will be center stage in this war if it ever happens and be defeated without help of Russia.
When Russia starts joining this game. Its WWIII and that is a tad difficult to analyse....

Here is an example for you, with all the entire West’s powerful weapons, money and technology, they have miserably failed to crush a weak arm groups like Taliban in Afghanistan. They’ve spent billions, and lost so many lives in there, but yet they just couldn’t do it, now some of the participant countries are already complaining, and asking how long do they have to stay in there for.

I am not supporting Taliban in any means, I don’t like what they did to their own people when they were in government. I am just making the point that determination and bravery often triumph at the end, no matter how powerful the opponent is.

So wars are not the solution, peace and justice are what we need for peaceful existence and prosper to all human kinds. Believe me, there is nothing more powerful than love and peace, but to achieve these two, peace and justice must be prevalent amongst societies.

Dutch Police Take Part In Gay Parade

THE HAGUE, 23/05/06 - Homosexual policemen will take part in a gay parade in June. The Council of Chief Commissioners has given permission for them to wear uniform.

The national police homosexual network (LHP) is to take part in the annual Pink Saturday Parade on 24 June. "Under the theme 'Never be afraid to be different; you're welcome with us', a delegation will participate in the Parade in uniform. This is the first time in history that the Dutch police are taking part," Sigrid Dikken of the Dutch Police Academy said yesterday.

Pink Saturday (known abroad as Gay Pride) began in the past as a demonstration after raids on homosexuals in America, the spokesman explained. "Even today, acquired freedoms still generate conflict. It is therefore a good thing to celebrate acquired freedoms and to be proud of our multifaceted Dutch society."

As the police wish to operate at the centre of society, "it is important for them to give a visible signal that homosexuality exists within the police force and that homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals can rely on the police. Our participation is also a recruitment campaign, because diversity within the police contributes to the best possible police product," reported Dikken.
