I'm searching for reliable and not too expensive VPN service (yes, to bypass the big E) for home connection. Any recommendations?

I've tried some free solutions (e.g. free proxy), but they are not reliable and sometimes can't be used at all.

I would suggest you go with one that is an SSL VPN and not one that requires a client to be installed on your machine. megaproxy.com is a good one i have used in the past.

Also if you, or a friend you know works in TECOM and you have some technical know how you could setup openvpn (http://www.openvpn.net) on a machine and tunnel your connections through it and it would be free.

Thanks. But I can't open even the website (blocked?).

I work in DIC, but I don't think I can ask the sysadmin to setup on one of the server for some reasons.

DIC charges for an additional IP...

I would of given you a VPN if only it were seperated from our Internal Network. I asked for an additional IP, they told me to pay money even if i dont use it! so i declined.

There's always free dyndns.org service (+DynDNSUpdater). That's how I do remote connection (VNC) to my home laptop (dynamic DSL) in Dubai when traveling. It'll probably work if the VPN client (or browser's proxy settings) can use domain name instead of fixed IP.

I beleive u can have up to 5 dynamic ip registestered with one user. Im currently using it....works well...
