Syria is not what I consider a hot vacation spot... Bashar is a banana.

Lebanon is fun for vacation.

Jerusalem I hear is great, but try to use Dinars if possible and do not stay on the Israeli side of the city... Basically boycott the Israeli part all together.

I didn't think you were allowed back into the UAE if you went to Israel.

You ask them to stamp a seperate piece of paper not in your passport, at least this is what I did and I know many others.

Also many of of us that travel semi-frequently have e-cards you never go through passport control anyway. :)

Hey Pal,

Have a good one, doesn't matter where you go, you can have a good time, no doubt you will be with friends and family.

Me, my favourite vacation spot is Possibly Curacao.

I just got back from 2 weeks backpacking aqround Malaysia, what an experience! The country is incredible! So many different cultures all together, it's so much more progressive than Dubai - I could quite easily live in KL!

Man it was amazing, we travelled all around the place, checking out islands, national parks, I saw a leopard, huge monitor lizards, turtles, it was amazing.

The Hindu and Chinese Buddhist temples are beautiful.

KL has a great nightlife too. Just loved it all, it was nice to go somewhere -REAL!

i too was gonna post smthing about the ppl. after all what really makes a place great, is the ppl. and these ppl, from this part of the world, seem to have such an inner peace that u might not find anywhere else.
time seems to have a different meaning there.

Yes the people were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, really nice. I really went mad for all the different foods, and it's all so cheap you can stuff yourself silly, it was great.

Tell you the people I really did find a bit off, were the Japanese and Koreans when we were travelling around the little islands. They locals have great animal conservation and are working really hard, but these guys just didn't care! One moron actually caught a turtle hatchling and took it back to shore, it must have been around 2 weeks old, great so the poor thing after battling it's way out to sea got dumped back on shore and had to go through the whole process again, just so this idiot could take a few 'fun' photos.

Plus there was an amazing fish eagle who had been adopted by one of the local cafes when it was a chick as it had a broken and deformed wing, couldn't fly and would just sort of hop up and down the beach all day, minding it's own business, watching people take it's piccy etc then hop off for feeds at the cafe. This stupid girl starts throwing sticks at it, to try and make it fly, I brought it to her attention that it couldn't and that she should have more respect for animals than to just lob things at them. The mentality of some (not all) of these people is incredible, but I couldn't really expect more from some who just kill and eat everything with no regard for it's endangerment.

Apart from thoes incidents, great time, loved it, want to go back.
