Actually I bought one for my wife so I'm slightly off-base, but anyway she prefers my Linux sub-notebook that I reformatted and stuffed TinyXP onto. Bless her!

maybe good for journalist or sales person, but not for techie-freaks

Bluetooth keyboard would give best of both worlds....you wouldn't use this gadget for heavy duty work anyway.
