Just a quick shout-out, Hurricane update Feb 03, 2006
Hi Guys and Gals,

What the heck can I say, Katrina has destroyed the Mississippi gulf coast, period. New Orleans... only got flooded and put standard media has got most of the attention, people are going back home to a house that is moldy but still standing. The people in Mississippi Gulf Coast... going back to concrete slabs and the boards and items around are from house a mile down the road! My sisters house is still standing, it is on stilt but the water flooded to the top ceiling, we are talking 25 feet of water, so she can not move back in!!! She has a full size semi-truck and trailer (the type for transporting fuel) about 25 meters from her back door... she is five mile away from any main road and is on a canal. The downtown is gone and they are using tents and trailers for police station and city hall. The bob-wire is still stung along many areas to keep looter out, yes even to this day. Five story barge casinos are across the road about 1/2 from where they were docked. One even travel 1 3/4 mile and stopped by hitting a Holiday Inn and you can clearly see how hard it struck it. 75 year old Oak trees are complete uprooted and pine trees snapped in half like a tooth pick. It is like the photos of Hiroshima in many areas... They are still finding body and expect to continue to find them for the coming few years.

Through it all, it would recommend everyone to see it and experience the power that mother nature, Alah, God, etc has... It is simply mind boggling to see. NOTHING on TV can replace seeing it with your eyes. You simply want to cry for these people as they have nothing to come back to, no job still in the area, no house at all, no friend as so many people are gone, even animal, bugs, etc... simply gone. The few that have come back is not getting the attention of the media, this is only adding injury to insult. The chocolate city of New Orleans is still getting all of the media attention, so the government has put all of its resources there and the people of Mississippi are being left out.

Well, I will be posting some photos and video soon... but please say a preyer for them and tell people you know what I told you so this doesn't simply get forgotten.

As for my situation, I don't know if I will ever be returning to Dubai... I have gotten behind on my credit card and have another situation to deal with... we will only wait to see, but at least I have my US businesses to allow me to survive. Thank gosh for that, I am lucky compared to many.

Peace,
Stainless

It is very sad to know stainless. Sometimes I think to myself, how tragic it is, when at this exact time how normal, relaxed and fine our lives are, but at the same time, world is crumbled for others. May God help them in this crises. Ameen.
