this company's motto is.. you come as a client and leave as a friend, or something along them lines. in reality they sold me a piece of rubbish at 68,000 DHS. its been towed away twice, has had numerous other things wrong and currently i am without a radio as they dont have a code for me since the battery failed, the window wont close properly since they had it fixed and I have a continual message saying STOP! YOU HAVE A PUNCTURE! The only solution they have offered me is to put my car on their forecourt for sale.. now this means I will be without a car till its sold... and some other unsuspecting customer will buy the car of their nightmares.....

So.. I took my car to Tony Edwards Motors to get fixed.. I paid the bill and went on my way.. they told me they had fixed everything but the radio... in fact the radio is the only thing that they did fix! Apart from this they lost my spare key, all the coins I kept for parking meters had been stolen..and now they wont answer my calls or text messages... Can anyone recommend a garage that will actually fix a car?

Thanks! But i have since taken the car to Renault, and they say they can fix it.. by the way I have been calling Tony Edwards motors since my last post and I was completely ignored until I threatened going to Consumer Protection..
Anyway, Hagob will now be on my list of mechanics. Cheers Dubai Knight.

The only consumer protection you can get in this country comes in a small packet and is labelled 'Durex'!

I had to get Dubai Consumer Protection team out to TEM to both get my money back and get them to return my Mini...after 4 months of attempted repair of my mini roof they still managed to claim it was continuing work.

Upon removing my car I found an independent guy willing to look at it only for him to tell me that he would like to know who worked on it previously because there was oil put in places that shouldn't be oiled (resulting in staining the canvas roof) and damage to parts that he says wouldn't be broken for every day use......clearly these guys are NOT mini specialists...

I wish I could go back there and ask them exactly what they are playing at??

I now have my mini fixed and happily have someone i trust to look after any future work. And it isnt TEM.
DONT USE THESE GUYS FOR MINI REPAIRS!

I would not recommend buying from 4x4 MOTORS LLC! I bought a GMC Acadia from 2008 with low mileage from 4x4 motors in Sheikh Zayed Road 8 month ago and started having some issue a couple of months after. The gear were not changing. I should have taken the car back straight away however the issue was intermittent so no way for me to prove anything. One month ago, I started having some weird message about stability track, I took the car to the garage and they told me I had to replace three or four parts plus, the transmission needed to be checked for the gear changing issue. I don't know how much I'm going to end up paying!
The mechanic who checked the car said the issue may have been existing before (funny enough, the car used to be serviced there.. just stating the facts)
Another issue occurred today while I was driving the car, the steer wheeling was very hard to move. Lucky I was not with my family and there were not many cars in the road. Now buying a used car is always risky and it can happen to have an issue, but when everything is going wrong, there is definitely something fishy!
