I offer a service where I buy anything in USA on behalf of others and send the items via the US Postal Service. I would like to see if my service could be useful to Dubai and UAE residents. I have a few questions:
1. Are there any taxes in UAE for personal imports via the Postal service.
2. Are you able to track international Express Mail packages (EMS) delivered to you by Dubai Post ?
3. Apart from the usual prohibitions (alcohol, pornography, firearms, material offensive to Islam ) are there any other restrictions to be aware of ? Anything specifically banned from the USA ?
4. What has your experience been with the services of Dubai/UAE Post Office ?
