I ahve valid bahrain residence visa .... valid upto oct 2008 and a multiple rentry visa. I want to come to dubai on 30 days visit visa. can i come to dubai and get a visit visa of 30 days so that i can search for a job there in dubai. My freind in dubai told me that i can do so .... IS it possible to do so.... without anybody inviting me for a visit in dubai...... need advice urgently.

A multiple re-entry visa for where?

GCC expat residents can get a 30 day visit visa for AED 100 dhs on arrival in the UAE according to the DNRD website, but only certain designations (which I think means it depends on job title but I can't find any official clarification of that). You need to show your Bahrain residence visa/permit on arrival in the UAE. I have also seen a fee of 620 dhs in relation to the GCC resident visit visa but I think that's if you apply online, which doesn't really make sense if you can get one issued on arrival.
