How much can I expect to pay for something like this?

I'll need a tripod too.

I bought it from meena baazar Bur dubai for 3000 about 6 months back, he threw in a memory stick duo, 4 dvds, carrying case for free. I am sorry but i dont know cost for a tripod.

I guess there is a upgraded model available now, and the cost would be lower than what i bought for.

Well, that sounds pretty good

I'd try to get a hardrive one instead of the DVD kind, sony 60 gig version is for sale for about 3300, those little DVD's can only record 30 mins.

I have a panasonic DV that uses the 90 min tapes, it is a good basic video camera and cost me 1100

My little DVD's record 90 minutes, have the Sony also, its a good camera, with still shots also

only 30 mins dvd quality though i believe. 90 mins in SLP
