Liquids or creams are not allowed on your carry on luggage. Pack them in your check-in luggage or leave at home. Otherwise you'll loose them.

I wonder if they will confiscate cigarette lighters as most others do now?

At heathrow (post AQ trying blow up the airport) they confiscate all lighters (inc Zippos) - As soon as you get through security if your a smoker you go to join a big queue at the store WH Smiths to buy a new lighter to have smoke. So now WH smiths biggest profitable product in heathrow has gone from newspapers, magazines and sweets to cigarette lights.
