Hello All,

Im an IT Manager from Canada/USA with 8 years of experience. I have spoken to about 10 recruiters, been to every website, nothing concrete yet. Even wasted money on the jobsinDubai site (total scam).

Do you think it would make a difference if I cam down to Dubai for 2 weeks?

Anyone got any new ideas?

2 weeks? I'm not gonna say thats impossible but I will say its extremely hard to get it in 2 weeks unless the company is desperate and you are exactly what they want.

Things here take time. A job can take anywhere from 1 month - 3 months depending on how agressively you're looking. Its frustrating as hell but there a lot of IT jobs here.

Its better to be here when applying.

Right now the UAE is undergoing whats called as "Emaratization" (I hope I got that right). Basically they want UAE nationals first and give them preference, the other nationalities.

Do your home work before you make the move of coming here.
