Your toothbrush - Thursday Poll Aug 31, 2006
I bought an electric toothbrush a few weeks ago to combat the damage the water is doing to my teeth here. I must say, they are awesome and I wish I had one years ago.

I acually asked my dentist if the electric machines are any good and he said that i should start using those because they are more accurate. Does anyone here recommend a certain electric toothbrush?

Was a programme on the radio couple of weeks ago, where they were recomending Electric Toothbrush. They also said you should only use soft brush and you should brush minimum twice per day for 2 minutes each time.

It won't let me. I also wanted to include the option 'none' but forgot.

I use the Oral B Electric 5500 or something like that.

Yes, my brush has a time that beeps every 30 seconds to ensure you spend that time in each quadrant of your mouth.

The amount of plaque it gets off and the clean feel is truly amazing.

I use an Oral B Bright Smile electric tooth brush, it's great, it vibrates when 2 minutes is up so you know you been brushing for long enough.

Normally when you start to use an electric toothbrush your gums might feel sore or bleed for a few days, but they just need to toughen up that's all.

They clean so much better than a manual brush.

And you should actually brush after you've eaten, although not if you've been drinking fizzy drinks as they weaken the enamel on the teeth and it can wear down, so chew gum for a bit first to get rid of the sugar.

Just a few facts I discovered whilst I had my braces on.

My gums didn't mind, I think they cried out in joy.

It's even fun to use, which makes you want to brush your teeth!

OK, I'm sounding like a 5 year old now, but I don't use blue toothpaste.

I've added your "both" option, and am just about to add Ian's "None" option - but I sincerely hope nobody selects that, as it would be disgusting!! :? :?
