Ewwwww quite frankly this is gross! I'm a clean freak who carries hand sanitizer with me. I detest shaking peoples hands, because I know most don't wash them after using the loo.

I feel quite ill now.

When you spend time changing a baby diaper in the loo you'd be surprised how many people come in, do their business, and leave without washing their hands!

I know! I especially hate it when you see staff in the food service industry doing that - in which case I usually say something. I have a thing about not touching the door hanle on the way out either, purely for this reason, you wash your hands then get all the nasty germs because other people haven't.

One of the dirtiest things we touch are the handle bars on trolleys. Think about it - they are never cleaned/washed nor are the handles of the doors of bathrooms. I have bottles of hand sanitizers all over the place and handwipes as well.

Bora Bora , And money! Money is probably the filthiest, most ing and germ ridden thing we all use every single day. Imagine how many people have touched it.

I remember a report from a while back about how the toilet seat is one of the cleanest parts of a house! One of the dirtiest was the computer keyboard...

(It turns out though that the reports of germs (and worse) there were in the bowls of mints or peanuts sitting on bars turns out to be an urban myth (I believed it to be true when I heard it) though..)


It hammered home the logic/wisdom of the oriental practice of 'left hand dirty'/'right hand clean' (and the general practice of washing your hands before eating!)

We had dinner inside Ravi's and were seated near the cashier where they have those little bowls of "candies/spices" for people to take to cleanse the breathe on the way out. The bowl that held the spices/candy was sitting on a flat dish with a small spoon. As people were leaving, those that were dipping into the bowl totally ignored the spoon and used their hands. I also watched a child being held by her mother taking small bits, putting them in her mouth, lick her fingers and then go back for more!!! Made my skin crawl wondering how many hands went into that bowl during the course of the day. What you can't see won't bother you, but what you can see - YUCK!!!!

I'm confused, you guys climb all over toilets with your shoes to do your business. How can that be considered as clean?

So you use your left hand to wipe away your kebabs. Civil people use toilet paper.

Left hand for dirty tasks, right hand for clean ones. Works for lefties too, and quite a simple principle.

Water and paper means one isn't left with a 'crusty bum' ... but I guess drew thinks crusty bums are clean..
