Historical Inflation Rates In GCC?

Historical inflation rates in GCC? Mar 15, 2006
Here's a question for you. Where would I find historical inflation rates/GDP etc. for the GCC to cover the last 5 years?

To be honest, they probably don't publish them. Reason being, if people actually saw how much things have gone up, they'd all cry.

I wouldn't be surprised...

maybe u can get that of papers like gulf news??

anyway, the official source says something close to 5% but a lot of independant sources say that it's closer to 20-25% for that year...

I was able to google the historical rates for GCC countries including Saudi. This was a few months ago. I don't recall the sites anymore. Sorry.

You should try and check out the Dubai Municipality site...... they have a whole statistics section.

www.dm.gov.ae or www.statisticsdubai.ae

I also have a VERY interesting PDF with stats for 2005. Let me know where you want me to mail it
