oh me only 6 years but travelling to UAE since 12 years.

I saw the sand between Dubai and Jebel Ali

And I drove from Sharjah to Jebel Ali in 35min on a Monday

Too long!

First came here in 1988! I remember the speed bumps and the lines of trucks on the Dubai - Abu Dhabi road and it once took me 5 hours to drive to RAK because the road had been buried under sand dunes!

Defense Roundabout was a crossroads.

The World Trade Centre...was in the middle of the desert!

6 years....my first memory of Dubai...the smell at the airport, oh, I won't forget that. :lol: :lol: :lol:

haha, yeah... the smell... and the heat- at 1AM as soon as I went out the door (I arrived at the peak of summer). Made me think twice for a few seconds if I should just head back home.

I have been in Dubai for minus 85 days, wich means I arrive only in January 2009! hahaha
