While I'm not condoning this in any way, depression can be devastating. With nobody there to support him, it's not too surprising that he would take his life away.

Its really devastating that anyone would take his/her own life, let alone in the net viewed and coaxed at by strangers. How can people be inconsiderate to this guy who took his own life?

I remember the days on IRC about 12 - 13 years ago there were always people threatening to kill themselves.

The world is a depressing place, if someone is going to do it, they're going to do it, regardless of whether people egg them on or not.

Isn't suicide just a call for attention?

If you're that much of a brain dead dolt that you're going to be coaxed into taking your life because of some stupid shit someone writes in a chatrooom, then it would have only been a matter of time before your dumb@ss did something stupid like wandering out into traffic or falling out of your chair, hitting your head on the edge of your desk and bleeding to death.
