He has been on ITV tonight, an audience with the stars of British TV, He had them all on their feet, singing along to his hits. I think the first time I came across Barry Manilow was in the late 70's with Mandy.

I listened to the words of his songs tonight and they made me feel happier than normal.
He was asked the question of whether his Jewish family had encouraged him in the music industry. He said that his family had told him how great he was every day of his life and therefore he believed he was great and had no fear of anything.

I'm a great believer in that and I tell Beth everyday how beautiful she is.

"Mandy" was also my first introduction to him.
I had a crush on a girl called Mandy and thought I could serenade her with it.
