Such a hard question. I really enjoyed Durres, Albania. it was the first time I didn't see a McDonalds or other food chain. No hotel chains like Hilton, Westin, etc. The only chains I saw where gas stations. Albania was so much fun. Lots of dancing and music. The people were great and well mannered....

As stated before, I find the triangular forest the best BUT while traveling it's so much easier to go barren because you save on time, toilet tissue, and lets not forget cleaning off the soap while taking a quick COLD shower in a 3rd world nation.
