Paying Rent
Possibly a stupid request, however, can anyone tell me the common method of paying rent?....I notice alot of landlords are asking for 2 or 3 cheques for the full years rent up front...is this the norm opposed to monthly payments.

Visa question help needed please!
Is an employment visa the same as a residency visa??...I have my employment visa and plan on taking it to a bank to secure a loan so I can rent accomodation.
