There's a massive community in Dubai that's for sure. I do find it weird when you see locals holding hands and not always in just a friendly manner, if you did that in a European city then watch out, that's for sure.

Live and let live, but it isn't tolerated here.

Never mind where it started, it could have easily been spread by migrating birds from somewhere else, but regardsless it now has a firm foothold in Europe, Greece having just found it's first cases. This is very scarey, if the mutated strain that is passed among people isn't stopped it could kill mi...

Is mother nature fighting back?

Tsunamis, Hurricanes, Earthquakes! The last year has been a disaster for our planet, it's been battered in every possible way and hundrds of thousands of lives have been lost.

Are we being told something? Maybe we should take care of our 'home' and each other better.

To behonest the bigger and more sprawled out they are the thought of walking around them just leaves me cold. There's nothing NICE about many of the malls.

Some of them need those airport moving walkways running from one end to another, they're too flippin' big!

Hey Emma, It sounds to me like the big piece of paper she has is the visa acceptance/application agreed bit, which you take to get the actual visa stamped in your passport. The large bit is normally the working visa, but the actual residence visa is stamped into your passport, that's what I remember...

I do agree that many people moan about far too much stuff BUT on the flip side, Dubai wants to be considered as a forward thinking, progressive, city of the future, well then it has a lot of catching up to do with other major cities across the globe, and you know what how will the authorities and go...

What's not to like? It's tax free, which I think is the biggest puller for people, so those in the West earn more. There's bars, nightclubs, lots to do, just like any other cosmopolitan city.

For many people money is the main objective, but, you also have to take into consideration the lifestyle. We are very spoilt in Dubai, crime is low, apart from the obvious high expenses like housing, it's heap to eat out, everyday living is pretty low expense, apart from rents. Plus weather, sunshin...

Nurato, you obviously have little or no experience of gay guys as not all of them walk with their bum cheeks clenched together and talk with a camp nasal accent. I know about 5 or 6 guys who you would never in a million years know they were gay unless they told you. So don't be so quick to judge! On...

In a word NO! You're always going to hurt the other persons feelings if you want to end a relationship. Just think carefully about how you do it, and for goodness sake avoid the cheesy cliches of: 'It's not you it's me' We can still be friends' 'I'm not ready for commitment' Blah blah blah etc etc etc

Look gay people are no different to anyone else, they just like people of the same sex, that's it. It doesn't make them strange or odd. Many people however find two girls liking each other a bit more acceptable than two guys. Bet no-one complains about Angelina Jolie being openly bi now do they!

So what if she's now 'engaged' to Brad Pitt, doesn't mean she still can't see women too. She's admitted to having flings with women. Just because someone is attached to someone of the opposite gender doesn't mean they can't be attracted to others of the same sex, you know there are people who've bee...

School's for the disabled are not the point. What about those with minor disabilities or impairments. They don't need to be in special schools, they need to be in main stream school with support teachers. I've worked with loads of special needs kids and most do really well and excel in mainstream sc...

I'm sorry, but I think this is totally wrong!

I believe in monogomy, one guy, one girl. There's no way in a million years I'd ever be with a guy who would have a second wife.

I know it's what you believe, practice etc etc.

Satwa is a nightmare. A friend of mine got assaulted 3 times there. The police said she was mad to be a single female living in such a place, they had a massive file on Satwa and they said it where most crime happens and told her to move immediately. Plus looking out your bedroom window to see a goa...

Logic's right it's totally luck of the draw. But the way many of the instructors teach here I'm amazed how many people do pass their test. I complained to one driving school the other day after seeing a learner under instruction go round a round-a-bout in completely the wrong lane, cut up 3 cars, ze...

Ramadan - The most dangerous time on the roads!

Why are people so nuts on the roads during Ramadan, it's the most dangerous time to be on the roads, people rushing around and endangering themselves and others for what? Food! Taken from 7 days today: Reckless driving has caused almost twice as many deaths on Dubai’s roads during the first two week...

Fayz, I totally agree with you, people who have to BUY a diploma instead of putting the hard work into achieve the real thing are losers. Anyways thankfully the accreditation process in the UAE stops most of this problem as how can you get a fake diploma/degree validated by a real university. Not on...

Kayvee, You're funny, talk about on the defense from the get go. Honestly I don't know. Some in any race are just more feminine just as some girls are more masculine. But as you say we don't brand every girl with short hair, bag clothes and comfy shoes a lesbian now do we. It's weird and a topic loo...

That's totally insane, how caqn you destroy something which you know will not have come into contact with any infected animals. Talk about short sighted. It's not the domestic birds that are the problem, it's the migratory birds and those being imported illegally. That's like saying lets kill all pe...

My point was what about those who should be IN MAIN STREAM SCHOOL, but there's no support network ther...

But the problem comes when it mutates and becomes seriously harmful. Yes it does have an airborne transmission factor, but if you have an animals which is al...
