Bans are not automatic anymor from the Ministry of Labour, they are implemented at a company's discretion, this was changed a while ago. Simply ask them why they are banning you, and will they not give you and NOC or even transfer your visa to the new company. If you are not going to a direct compe...

If you suddenly stop your brake lights come on. It was said earlier. Brake lights come on whether a car is slowing down gradually or suddenly stops. They serve a different purpose to hazard warning lights. You really don't get it do you? I'm tired of this argument, I win. Bravo. I wasn't trying to ...

Once more, it is simple, all drivers obey the same set of rules and we may stay alive longer. Those of you who want to make it up as you go along only serve to endanger your own and more importantly other peoples lives. Correct, therefore I propose the only people allowed to participate in the rema...

I think it's noble that each year they delay the inevitable exhaustion of fossil fuels by 1 hour.

That means, instead of the day the oil runs dry being the the 15th of January 2025, it will instead, be the 16th of January 2025.

Great idea. Keep it up!

There is a story about an infamous tiki tiki puka night at Trader Vics at the Madinat. However, as I was actually there, I am prohibited from telling it.

I once though about doing a walk from Brisbane to Sydney. I barely got into the planning stages when the response of interest overwhelmed me.

In the end, I decided not to do it.

Salaries are subjective here to the point where one person can be doing an identical job to another person and there's a 20,000 AED difference. I see you've gone down the route of blaming the "white man" and yet many of the companies I deal with have Indians in quite powerful positions (so...

As Ian rightly said, whilst there are people willing to work for such little cash, others will continue to take advantage of that. Look at construction workers, or compound maintenance guys who take home less than 1,000 Dhs a month. Sadly for alot of people, it's take crappy money and live in crapp...

I am the master with a knife when peeling oranges, but those plastic orange peelers that you get in Australia make even shorter work of an orange, as you know.
