With Australia taking the first match England look eager to even the score.

Australia are currently 129/4 in 31 overs, so far looking good for England.

I'll have to have a look at that Sage, we're certainly on form at the moment. Did I hear Stuart Broad is back? I missed him in the test matches, although England didn't seem to.

Went to the Mupersarket and it as all gone pear shaped, England 5/96, looks bad at the moment.

It's something like the following pooner's Spoonerisms

fighting a liar lighting a fire
you hissed my mystery lecture you missed my history lecture
cattle ships and bruisers battle ships and cruisers
nosey little cook cosy little nook
a blushing crow a crushing blow
tons of soil sons of toil
our queer old Dean our dear old Queen
we'll have the hags flung out we'll have the flags hung out
you've tasted two worms you've wasted two terms
our shoving leopard our loving shepherd
a half-warmed fish a half-formed wish
is the bean dizzy? is the Dean busy?

Spooner originates from London, have no idea if he is a brother though.

Spooner was born at 17 Chapel Street, Grosvenor Place, London. He was educated at Oswestry School and New College, Oxford, where he was the first non-Wykehamist to become an undergraduate. He was ordained deacon in the Church of England in 1872 and priest in 1875.
He remained at New College for more than sixty years, serving as Fellow (1867), Lecturer (1868), Tutor (1869), Dean (1876–1889), and Warden (1903–1924). He lectured on ancient history, divinity, and philosophy (especially on Aristotle's ethics).
Spooner was well liked and respected, described as, "an albino, small, with a pink face, poor eyesight, and a head too large for his body", and, "His reputation was that of a genial, kindly, hospitable man."[1]
In the opinion of Roy Harrod, William Spooner exceeded all the heads of Oxford and Cambridge colleges he had known "having regard to his scholarship, devotion to duty, and wisdom."[citation needed]

Maybe in the 3rd game England didn't bat too well.
But the first game was won by Shane Watson and the second by Marsh. Had they of been dismissed it would have been a walkover by England.

Yes but you see they were not dismissed, England really have to raise their game.

The last game was a joke for me, Trott simply ran out of partners and we lost the game.

4th Match

England 299/8 after 50 overs, should be a good one.

Yes indeed.

I have read that Australia have indeed won the series after taking game number 5 to take an unbeatable lead of 4-1. Congratulations are in order.

Yes, bit of a boring game that was dragged out for as long as possible to raise funds for the flood relief.
The one day series win will go some way towards healing the wounds from the ashes.
World cup should be interesting.

Last game today and we will be heading home soon. No-one will remember the matches we lost, only that we won the Ashes. We were pityful this morning. bring on the World Cup, minus a few Pakistani bowlers.

Note to that young Pakistani lad who got banned. Get that greasy hair cut and buy a new jumper.

A policeman in Adelaide Australia pulled over a driver who had been weaving in and out of the traffic.
He approached the car window and said "Sir I need you to blow into this breathalyzer".
The man reaches into his pocket and produces a doctor's note.
On it was written:
"This man suffers from chronic asthma.
Do not make him perform any action that may leave him short of breath".
The policeman said "Okay then I need you to come and give a blood sample"
The man produced another letter.
This one said:
”This man is a hemophiliac.
Please do not cause him to bleed in any way".
So the officer said: "Right, I need a urine sample then".
The man produces a third letter from his pocket.
It read:
"This man plays cricket for Australia; please don't take the piss out of him"
