Nuclear Secrets Vanunu and Israel SuperBomb May 31, 2010
Mordechai Vanunu was the man who was determined to tell the world about Israel's
nuclear capabilities and, by doing so, created a world scandal. Vanunu is the
focus of tonight's spy thriller in the series exploring the race for nuclear
supremacy.

Vanunu worked as a nuclear technician between 1977 and 1985, separating plutonium
from uranium at the top-secret Israeli nuclear facility. Disgusted by how Israel
treated him, and with a growing awareness of the dangers of nuclear weapons,
Vanunu collected evidence by taking 60 photos of the top-secret plutonium plant.

Fast forward to September 1986, when The Sunday Times brought Vanunu to London
and kept him isolated while they verified his story about Israel's nuclear plant.

After weeks of isolation in a hotel, he popped out for a newspaper. A beautiful
blonde by the news stand caught his eye and he followed her until he plucked up
the courage to speak to the mysterious woman. They agreed to meet several more
times and Cindy, as she was known to him, bought tickets for them to take a short
break in Rome. This, however, was to be Vanunu's downfall. Cindy was, in fact, a
secret agent for Mossad, the Israeli secret service. He was drugged and smuggled
back to Israel where he was tried and jailed for 18 years.

He was released last year but was re-arrested for violating his conditions. While
he remains a traitor to Israelis, he is heralded as a saviour for nuclear openness
to many around the world.

Here is a link to docu-drama series tells the story of Vanunu’s effort to stop Israel of acquiring the Superbomb an atomic device so powerful it could push the world to the edge of destruction

Here is an actual interview with the man himself Mordechai Vanunu

You would be surprise to know that France was the one who supplied the reactor to Israel and the US was the guarantor of the completion of the whole arsenal.

So many people get their knickers in a twist over Iran possibly getting nuclear weapons. While that's not a good thing, let's not forget that Iran lives next door to a rogue nuclear state that has started several wars against it's neighbors, namely Israel. Can anyone name a country that Iran has invaded?

Despite repeated denials and ‘no comments’ by Israel. Israel’s nuclear arsenal, some say, rivals that of the United Kingdom. As many as 300 nuclear bombs are in their arsenal. If the basis of going to war is nuclear weapons, what Israel and US is saying against Iran, then clearly the world should be at war with Zionist Israel.

Iran does not have nuclear weapons and is a signatory to the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NNPT) which Israel refuses to sign on to. Iran has abide by all that is required of international laws. Iran has also submitted to international inspections of its nuclear facilities.

What a Double standard from the Western governments - Guess they hated the Jews so much that they'd hate to see them populating their cities as they once perceived and probably still do by many as “leeches, parasites” in Western societies. So, the option was to throw them away by creating a land for them at the expense of innocent Palestinians.

Locking up this guy again (who has already spent 18 years in jail) can't really be spun in any meaningful way.

Let me quote Avi Shlaim once more (writing before Israel stepped up its acts of madness):
This brief review of Israel's record over the past four decades makes it difficult to resist the conclusion that it has become a rogue state with "an utterly unscrupulous set of leaders". A rogue state habitually violates international law, possesses weapons of mass destruction and practises terrorism - the use of violence against civilians for political purposes. Israel fulfils all of these three criteria; the cap fits and it must wear it.

But that’s what this Apartheid Israeli government has been doing since Israel existence for 60 years now. No one has been dare to oppose Israel’s belligerent behaviour and self-centre policy. Israel gives it damn about the international law and what the international community thinks.

This poor conscientious guy got taken illegally by the Mossad on Italy’s soil – did Israel thinks or even cares about Italy’s law, of course not.

Well, at least the catalogue of breaches of international law is now well documented and there for those interested in the truth. And as Shlaim says, 'habitually violating international law' is a characteristic of a rogue state.

I think that part of the problem is that Israel started believing the hype/propaganda and some think it is above the law. In the past at least they had the shame to try and cover it up effectively - but I guess you can only fool some of the people all of the time.

Israel says it will not take part in a conference aimed at achieving a nuclear-arms free Middle East, proposed at a UN meeting in New York. Where nearly 200 nations, signatories of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), backed plans for the meeting in 2012.

When Israel is a belligerent country and a threat to peace in the Middle East, and the continuing occupation of Palestine’s lands, attack on Gaza, and the recent killing of peace activists on the international water are examples.

Then:

Why Israel has nuclear weapon and Iran is not even allowed to have spare parts to repair its military aircraft?!!!!

Why is it that the arms race in the Middle East was started by the Israeli's and nobody is waging war against them for thier "WMDs"?

Why is Israel allowed to go on producing weapons of mass destruction and nobody is allowed to inspect them?
