One day I took my youngest son and his friend to bespoke tailor as they need new suits for graduation. As we were going back home it started a war. Last week we went for a fitting ... .only a little time until suits (war) is finished. Alhamdulillah.
First week some of my family members “lost their phones” and were not available. My father just for appearance's sake said that we are always welcome to his place. But then sending a photo of the oldest house in the neighborhood, one that belongs to a museum, or it can be a museum itself, one that survived two wars and is still standing as a monument. That is his subtle hint that his 4 houses and a flat are not available for me and my kids. I never belonged to his family and they are not expecting me to “mix with them”.
My aunt from Germany cried genuinely and offered a welcome that I slightly refused and she was relieved. It is not that big of a danger after all. After ten days my cousins fixed their phones and were able to communicate again. I guess that aunt told them I have no intention to leave the UAE. So much relief. One even asked if we had anything to eat. So dramatic after 10 days. I can’t believe AHHAHAAHHA
Then my “friends” sent messages, telling me how this had made economic hardships on them and asked for money (as if war was my personal mistake and now I have to compensate somehow). I helped and decided that I have no more friends back in my birth country.
People who don’t care for me even during the war, always putting themselves first. Good bye. After two weeks my mother made a video-call and in the middle of conversation remembered; ah ya, there is war out there…she forgot. I said that’s ok, we forget things. Then I told her that my aunt welcomed me to her house and she said that it is better for us to stay where we are, even if we have to die, but what God wants it will be.
The very next day I had “a cyber attack” and removed my access to video calls. God bless UAE for not making it not available on Whatsapp and Viber. Alhamdulillah. It was just a link sent for me to click, but I made big drama out of it. For my own safety I have no more video calls available on my phone. Better to stay safe right?
As a Bosnian war survivor, I always side with those who are under aggression. Automatically. And yet Iran was attacked and for the first time in life I was able to see an example of Islamic government. As a devoted Muslim it was normal for me to side with them, seeing them brave and protective of their country. But then I realised that only prising is accepted, any critical thinking and opposing is not welcome at all. Habibi that’s not me, I would say it through ears if I have to. I mean if my mouth is closed my sin would speak…just it can’t stay in me.
But yesterday all it fell down, my illusions and idealisation…..Government “suggested” to people to go out and protect facilities. Yuck!!!!
Same as Hamas, hiding themselves in bankers and exposing civilians to death. Disgusting. My respect is lost forever for such people. If you don’t protect your own child you can f**k yourself, my trust ends there.
And then last straw; If they get attacked they will burn neighbours as well. Zero nobility. Zero civilization. Finally I realised those are just a bunch of power-wanting people, accepting only prizes and never critical thinking or opposing advice or anything. So entitled and self-absorbed.You see if I have to die or my people I would love that some other Muslim nation survives and carries Islam further. Islam is more important than us for me. But for Islamist they are the most important, islam is just them and if they have to die everyone else shall die as well, leave islam to God alone….
And people; Arabs and other Muslims; so much hate in their hearts, so much anger, arrogance etc. Not all of course but the large number makes me worried. How we can prosper in both words if we carry sick hearts full of hate, malice, jealousy… Nauthubillah. Some people are always angry, always harsh words, always looking for conflicts, some are hateful toward everyone and everything…majority are jealous and Dubai is their biggest thorn in the eye. Burj Khalifa in their dreams must fall down. So miserable little minds,
ing evil people that smile in your face and want you to be destroyed, so that they feel above. Despite everything we will forward inshaallah, with clean hearts and high motivation to succeed and make our place in this world inshaallah. We are lighter now as we know whom to carry on our shoulders and whom to leave behind. We are free alhamdulillah and motivated as ever before. May Allah help us all to succeed in this world and in akhirah, Allahumma amin!
Qur’an: “The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart.” (26: 88-89)
Qur’an; “And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it, And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, He has succeeded who purifies it, And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].” (91: 7-10)
