Online share trading in the UAE Nov 18, 2008
Anyone here trade shares online in either Abu Dhabi or Dubai exchanges?

I've never traded shares but with the market going haywire it looks like a fun way to play with some money. Since there are no casinos here I'm looking to satisfy my need to gamble.

I found a list of brokers here, which also says if they have online trading. That's what I'm looking for, something online that I can monitor at work. One of the sites says I need an Investor Number from Dubai Financial Market to get an online account dealing in DBX.

So does anyone here use one of these things?

well ya first you need an investor number ( card ) to either market then chose on of the authorized dealers and they ll provide you with a an access to their software that enable you to buy and sell shares, some are old footing (using phone calls !! ) and from their you gamble as much as you want from your office , some banks provide you with an extra mouth watering deals like you deposit 50,000 and the extend your stocks buying up to 100,000 but the down side of it is that you have to sell before the 2 pm especially if you are loosing !

stocks are at its lowest , some says it is the best time to buy !! not sure. last week all stocks went rock bottom this week all are limit up, meaning they reached it's highest in on day. use stocks market is diff from some others they have what's called limit up and limit down. check it out.

good luck...

Hi Captain Oz,

Do you trade Australian shares or any other Intl markets?
If so, there is a company based in Dubai called fxarabiya who are part of Saxo bank, they offer online trading in FX, stocks and commodites.
You may want to check them out if your into online trading.
